You are invited to special event at DPC! Photos taken by The Contributor vendors using disposable cameras will be displayed in the fellowship Hall
alongside original framed poetry. All of the artwork aims to highlight the experiences and creative expressions of Nashville’s unhoused population.
Prints of the artwork will be available for purchase. A QR code with instructions to place an order and have your print shipped to you will be on display during the event. The money raised from this event will be paid to each piece’s vendor, ensuring they are compensated equitably for their work.
Make plans to view this exhibition, reflect on the artwork, and consider supporting the artists by purchasing a piece that resonates with you. The Contributor exhibit will be on display Saturday, July 6th from 5-8 p.m. and on Sunday July 7th.
A new group exhibition in the Browsing Room also begins next weekend. In collaboration with The Contributor, “Disposables (and Poetry)” invites visitors to reconsider elements often seen as disposable. This exhibition not only celebrates creativity and resilience, it also provides a poignant commentary on the state of living as a creative in Nashville in 2024. The next gallery opening will be July 6th from 5-8 p.m.
