The Downtown Presbyterian Church is proud to offer small-group tours to the public . If you would like to schedule a tour, please complete the form at this link. Requests should be submitted 5 business days in advance for best results. While we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate your group, we do strive to welcome as many visitors to DPC as our volunteers can manage. Tours are always free to attend, donations are welcomed.
Due to staffing demands, we rely on volunteers to host group tours. Please note that we cannot accommodate “walk-up” tours.
Perhaps you would like to visit DPC, but don’t have the opportunity to schedule a private group tour. You’re in luck! We are still a very active congregation! Consider attending a Sunday morning worship service, held each week at 11 a.m. One key perk of attending worship is that you will get to hear the church’s historic pipe organ played masterfully by our Director of Music, Dr. William Taylor. Services are also a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the the mission & ministries of one of Nashville, TN’s oldest churches. No promises – but it’s not uncommon for members of DPC to linger after worship and answer a question or two following the service.

During group tours, a member of DPC will provide information about the church’s history, discuss its unique architecture, and answer visitors’ questions. We have also created a QR code that visitors can scan to view an in-depth video of Jim Hoobler, our church historian, describing the space and sharing some of its wonderful histories. Only the sanctuary will be accessible during small group tours; all other areas will remain closed.
Unless particular arrangements are made, tour groups meet at the main entrance on Church Street. We also have a wheelchair-accessible entrance off of Church St. Just let your tour guide know if you need this, and they will assist you.
