The session met last Sunday for our regular monthly meeting and decided to extend our recess from in-person worship through May. This was not an easy decision but one we feel is in the best interests of our worshiping community and staff. In the meantime we’ll be formulating a plan for whenever we resume in-person worship, one that incorporates best-practices to minimize risk.
And we’ll continue to refine our live streaming worship so that you all the best experience we can provide under our current circumstances.
Last Sunday’s live stream did not go entirely as planned. Fortunately I figured out what went wrong and we shouldn’t have the same problem this week. One of the issues last week was the echo or delay in the audio (which was caused by an attempted correction of the first problem; these things happen).
For today I thought I’d re-record my sermon so that you might listen without the difficulties and distractions. And rather than put my suit and collar back on, I just sat on a stool and said the words. It is a more intimate performance and in some ways more appropriate to the text and subject.

I’m also continuing to host meetups three times each week; the schedule of those is below. And the leadership and I hope to offer other opportunities for online fellowship – stay attentive to our emails and Facebook page for those!
This Sunday I’ll be preaching on Luke 24:13-35, the Emmaus Road story. And on May 3 Mary Louise will be your guest preacher!
Grace and peace,
