As a solidarity congregation, we have our first opportunity to directly support a family in the immediate aftermath of an ICE detention. A husband and his brother have been transferred to a detention center, and his wife has just had a newborn baby. They have two other young daughters as well.
The DPC Outreach Committee is collecting items this Sunday, February 11, to assist this Nashville family recently affected by immigrant detention. Items still needed include Similac Sensitive Infant Formula and clothes for their newborn baby boy and blankets and simple toys or stuffed animals for two girls (about 9 years old).
Please contact Jack Henderson (jackhenderson@gmail.com) if you would like to donate an item, and thank you to everyone who has already helped!
