Jim Hoobler, Historian

Jim Hoobler serves as the church historian. Jim has been a member of the church. congregation since 1975 and served on the Session in several leadership positions: Deacon, Elder, Property chair, Restoration Committee Chair, as well as Church Historian.

As one of the southeast regions leading historians Jim has had a distinguished career as a senior curator at the Tennessee State Museum overseeing the art and architecture collection and the art collection at the Tennessee State Capitol. Jim has also served on several boards in leadership roles for the following organizations: Belmont Mansion, Belle Meade Mansion, Davidson County Historic Commission, Inter-Museum Council of Nashville, Historic Nashville, Nashville City Cemetery Association, Tennessee Association of Museums, Tennessee State Capitol Commission and on a national level,
he has served as the Chair of the Curators Committee for the American Museum Association.

Parking

Parking for DPC Sunday worship is currently in the SP+ garage at 147 4th Ave. N. Take a ticket upon entering the garage, and someone at DPC will give you a complimentary voucher to use when exiting. Parking tickets can be validated for Sunday worship only.
