The Downtown Presbyterian Church sanctuary is open to the public for tours on a limited schedule. During these designated times, a DPC member will be available to answer visitors’ questions. We have also created a QR code that visitors can scan to view an in-depth video of Jim Hoobler, church historian, describing the space and sharing some of its wonderful history. Sanctuary tours are free to attend with donations accepted. Reservations for these events are not required.
There is a wheelchair accessible entrance in the alley by the church parking lot, through the gate – press the buzzer and staff will assist. If you require assistance or have accessibility questions please contact the church office at 615-254-7584, or email info@dpchurch.com prior to your visit.
The sanctuary will be open to the public from noon to 2pm on the 2nd & 4th Fridays of the month.
Starting August 12th our neighbor church, McKendree United Methodist, located a 1 minute walk away on Church Street, will be offering tours of their historic building as well! Tours of both churches run from 12:00pm – 2:00pm, so come see The Downtown Presbyterian Church then hop over to visit McKendree! Please visit UMC’s website at https://mckendreenashville.com/ for more details.
During this time, only the sanctuary will be accessible during tours; other areas will remain closed to the public. We hope you will stop by during one of our open houses to learn more about the unique architecture, along with the mission & ministries of one of Nashville’s oldest churches. We look forward to welcoming you to DPC!
