Our new breakfast service to Nashville’s homeless and urban poor is off to a great with Lambscroft Ministries, handling food preparation and DPC members and friends taking care of serving, cleanup and hospitality. Last Sunday we served more than 120 guests and expect that number to grow.
It takes about ten volunteers every Saturday and in the weeks to come we’ll be welcoming other churches and groups to work alongside a core of DPC members. Right now we want as many DPC members and friends to experience this important ministry. So even if you haven’t signed up for this Saturday, feel free to come on down and lend a hand. It will be to our advantage to have as many volunteers as possible who are familiar with our procedures. Volunteers should arrive by 8:00 a.m.
If you are interested in volunteering for our Saturday breakfast, or if you would like to be a part of the team helping to coordinate our efforts, please add your name to the sign up sheet in the narthex or contact Reggie in the church office (reggiehughes@dpchurch.com).
Parking will be available in the Premier lot that w use on Sunday mornings and we’ll give you a voucher for complimentary parking.
