Chapel Worship Series:
For the past few summers the DPC congregation has moved to the chapel for Sunday services. Like the sanctuary, the chapel space is historic, unique, and best seen in person. Unlike the sanctuary, it has flex seating. We enjoy the challenge to find a new seat, and possibly sitting by someone new. It does not have a sophisticated a/v system. The chapel challenges us to lean in a little closer, to be just a bit more attentive. The chapel is our summer home, and we hope you’ll join us there. Don’t worry – “your pew” will be ready when we return to the sanctuary.
Worship in July will be based on scripture paired with the Book Love is the Way, by Bishop Michael Curry. In preparation, we would like you to share some of your beloved hymns from the Blue PC(USA) Hymnal on the clipboard in the back of the chapel. A scripture and theme grid will be available there as well. We invite you to find some hymns that connect with these scriptures and themes or just share the ones you love the most. We will use as many as we can in worship in July.
